By downloading, installing, or using Raindrop ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Application.

Raindrop is a macOS application that provides meeting recording, AI-powered transcription, automatic summaries, action item extraction, and integrations with third-party services. Features may vary based on your subscription plan.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Raindrop only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

• Record conversations without the consent of all participants where required by law
• Use the Application to violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application
• Use the Application to transmit any malicious code or interfere with our services
• Resell or redistribute the Application without authorization

Recording Consent

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have obtained all necessary consents before recording any conversation. Laws regarding recording consent vary by jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions require all-party consent for recording conversations. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with all applicable laws.

Subscription and Payments

Raindrop offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

Intellectual Property

The Application and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Raindrop and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your content remains yours—we do not claim ownership of your recordings, transcriptions, or other data.

Third-Party Integrations

Raindrop may integrate with third-party services such as Linear, Slack, and Google Meet. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Transcription accuracy may vary and should not be relied upon for critical purposes without verification.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Raindrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notifying you via email or within the Application. Your continued use of the Application after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Application immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Application will cease immediately.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Raindrop operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
